For GPs

Patient safety is our highest priority. We feel very strongly about ensuring the highest possible standard of patient safety throughout our ordering process, and as a result of this we have produced our Patient Protection Manifesto, which we invite all GPs to read. This ensures that patients are receiving the medication they need in a safe and controlled manner.

As a result of this, we may need to contact GPs from time to time. By doing this, we ensure that the medicine that we prescribe is appropriate and safe for your patient to take. Additionally, as you are aware of the fact that your patient has obtained medication from us, you have the necessary information in order to accurately monitor the patient.

Why we’re contacting you

If we have contacted you through our third party platform, Docman, this means one of your patients has placed an order with us and given their consent for us to contact you on their behalf.

The purpose of our communication with you is to keep you informed of the medication your patient will receive. If you have any objections to the patient receiving this medication, you can respond to us immediately, and we can take measures to either cancel the order or relay appropriate information to the patient. If you have no objection, you do not need to do anything and the order will be approved if appropriate and dispatched to the patient.

Occasionally, we receive information that indicates one of our patients is abusing medicine. In this case, we will contact you to inform you that we have reasonable suspicion of abuse. You don’t need to get in touch with us if this happens - we will automatically blacklist the customer and will not ship any more orders to them.

Privacy and Confidentiality

We do not pass any information to any third party during our correspondence with you, with the exception of Docman, the messaging service we use to contact you. All information is held in the strictest confidence.

If you respond to our correspondence with an objection, we may share this information with the patient. We adhere to all applicable GPhC and GDPR regulations that concern the storing and distribution of personal data.
